Description

Suede covered top on pitch pine base with telescopic leg inserts in beech wood. There are metal strips on the inserts with holes and sprung catches which engage them. Rubber or similar chunky feet. Maker's name on the side: Niels Larsen and Sons of Leeds. While this is a fairly dinky pommel, it's still a bit high for normal stool use, even at the lowest setting, so it might be best used as an unusual side table, or just an interesting objet d'art in its own right. Fully extended it's very high! See the dimensions below, but the displayed measurements are for the lower setting. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and sound. Some minor pepperings of old woodworm, on the beech parts and the plywood underside of the top; all treated for good measure. Cosmetically the main issue is staining to the suede (see pics); I believe it was used as a bar! It might clean up or perhaps be oiled to make it more consistent. The legs are fairly scuffed and battered but that's kind of nice. The feet are quite worn on the surface but again, part of the look. Priced for the condition Dimensions (measured at floor level): 82cm x 76cm x 96cm high (highest setting: 113cm x 108cm x 138cm high)
